Acceptance of Terms
By using the Bitejo platform, you agree to these terms.
Beta Testing
Bitejo is currently in beta testing. High value transactions are not advised.
Privacy
Bitejo will never ask for KYC. Bitejo does not use tracking or sell member data. IP addresses are only used to connect to the website. Cookies are only used for website functionality. For increased privacy, Bitejo recommends using a VPN or Tor.
Members can create pseudonymous and throwaway accounts. Members can change their privacy settings and delete their accounts at any time. After account deletion, account data will be deleted from the database and backups within 1 week, and orders and reviews will be anonymized.
Prohibited Actions
Members may not harm, threaten or harass other members. Members may not spam, scam, phish, hack or cause any other harm or inconvenience to other members or the platform. Bitejo can ban members at any time for any reason.
Prohibited Listings
No harmful listings
Bitejo does not allow listings that are harmful, dangerous, discriminatory or violent.
Members can report harmful listings. Reported harmful listings will be deleted and the member will be banned.
No high-risk listings
Bitejo does not allow listings that pose a high risk to the platform.
Members can report high-risk listings. Reported high-risk listings will be deleted.
No listings that require KYC
Bitejo does not require KYC, as KYC can put people at risk. In addition, many people do not have access to government-issued ID and therefore are unable to complete KYC.
Members can report listings that require KYC. Reported listings that require KYC will be deleted.
No scams
Bitejo does not allow scams, including but not limited to:
- Product is not delivered
- Faulty product is delivered
- Different product than displayed is delivered
- Payment is not sent
- Different payment than agreed is sent
- Fake or misleading listings
- Fake or misleading reviews
Members can report scam listings. Reported scam listings will be deleted and the member will be banned. Members can also give negative reviews for orders. Bitejo cannot refund lost money or products.
Limitation of Liability
Members use this platform at their own risk. Bitejo holds no liability for any damages.
Bitejo cannot guarantee the security of the platform. Bitejo is not responsible or liable for the security of accounts, listings, transactions or wallets, the content of listings, orders or profiles, or the actions of members.
Bitejo holds no responsibility or liability for any losses, including but not limited to loss of money, loss of products, failed transactions, scams or hacks, problems with using Bitcoin or Monero, or changes in the Bitcoin or Monero exchange rate.
Members hold full responsibility and liability for their content, actions and the security of their accounts, listings, orders, transactions and wallets.
THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED “AS IS”, WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NONINFRINGEMENT. IN NO EVENT SHALL THE AUTHORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY CLAIM, DAMAGES (INCLUDING ANY GENERAL, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF THE USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE PLATFORM, EVEN IF SUCH HOLDER OR OTHER PARTY HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES) OR OTHER LIABILITY, WHETHER IN AN ACTION OF CONTRACT, TORT OR OTHERWISE, ARISING FROM, OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE PLATFORM OR THE USE OR OTHER DEALINGS IN THE PLATFORM. THE ENTIRE RISK AS TO THE QUALITY AND PERFORMANCE OF THE PLATFORM IS WITH YOU. SHOULD THE PLATFORM PROVE DEFECTIVE, YOU ASSUME THE COST OF ALL NECESSARY SERVICING, REPAIR OR CORRECTION.
